Items over a certain value require renters to pay a Security Deposit. This is a refundable charge to pay, separate from the rental fee. The Security Deposit is held on your card for the total duration of the rental and is released once the item has been safely returned (note: this may take several business days depending on your bank). John Lewis reserves the right to charge this amount at any time if damage, loss or other issue is reported.

Your deposit is only authorised, so please note that when it is released, it will not appear as a refund, the funds will simply be available to you again.
